Coronavirus In London
A notice informs customers of the ongoing closure of the Apple flagship store on Regent Street in London, England, on March 21, 2020. All Apple store worldwide, other than those in China, are currently closed over coronavirus concerns. Much of central London was virtually empty today, a day after British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered the closure of all pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants around the country. The move represents a toughening of measures to enforce the 'social distancing' that is being urged on citizens to reduce the growth of covid-19 coronavirus infections. Nightclubs, theatres, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres were also ordered closed. Some shops in the centre of capital remained open today, albeit mostly deserted of customers; many retailers however have temporarily closed their doors until the crisis abates.
