COVID-19 Volunteers Disinfect Roma And Turkish Minority District In Varna
Volunteers disinfect once a week in the Roma and Turkish minority neighborhood of Asparuhovo, Varna. The 10 young people self-organize to disinfect 30 streets and give masks to the elderly people in the neighborhood as measures to tackle the spread of COVID-19. Most of the people in the district are Muslims and speak Turkish. Department of Health has confirmed 338 cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria, with at least 8 recorded fatalities and 11 recovered.
