Students At Warsaw University Produce 3D Printed Masks

in Warsaw, Poland on April 17, 2020. A group of 35 students, PhD students and professors from the Warsaw University of Technology are producing protective masks which are donated to healthcare professionals on the fronline of the coronavirus epidemic in Poland. The masks are 3D printed by printers operating 24 hours a day at the faculty. Around 304 masks are produced everyday which are then assembled by the volunteers, packaged and shipped to hospitals. The initiators have had to plan accordingly to prevent too many people from sharing the same space to prevent infections meaning some members work from home and a several work at the faculty in shifts.
