Toulouse: Daily Life Under Covid-19 Confinement
A closed library has put a sticker reading 'Boycott Amazon, workers in danger' and a sheet of paper reading 'Due to sanitary situation, the library is closed until further notice' on its storefront. As France enters its 5th week of confinement, the lockdown due to the Covid-19 massive outbreak are extended until May 11th in France. Police patrols the streets to check if people have the mandatory laissez-passer to move around. There is fewer people in the streets than other days as stay-at-home directives are enforced. Since March 16th when French President Macron announced that all people will be on lockdown due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, all shops 'non essentials' are closed until further notice except pharmacies, food stores, tabacco stores. An exemptions has been made for garden centers. Toulouse. France. April 21th 2020. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
