Muslims Observe New Moon For Ramadan in Jakarta
The Hisab Rukyat Team of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Regional Office (Kanwil) monitors the hilal beginning of the 1441 Hijri pilgrimage on the roof of the DKI Jakarta Regional Office Religion Building, Jatinegara, Jakarta, on April 23,2020. The Ministry of Religion decides fasting the first day of Ramadan 1 2020 or 1441 Hijri falls on Friday (4/24/2020) tomorrow. Ministry of Religion in determining the beginning of fasting combines two methods, namely through astronomical calculations (hisab) to determine the exact position of the new moon.
