Workers preparing the makeshift quarantine hospital in Mohakhali DNCC market on May 11, 2020. Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) makes a 1200 bed makeshift quarantine center at the Mohakhali DNCC market in Dhaka. Earlier Obhoyaronno -Bangladesh Animal Welfare Foundation was using the facility inside Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) market at Mohakhali to administer its spay-neuter program as well as the last home for street animals since 2016 with DNCC’s permission. The Foundation has been ordered to shift dogs from its facility as the government has decided to establish a 3,000-bed coronavirus hospital in that place. (Photo by Ahmed Salahuddin/NurPhoto)
