Demonstration Prohibited In Toulouse
A Yellow vest protester (left) and a shopkeeper (right) argue with vehemence in Toulouse, France, on May 16, 2020. As the lockdown in France came to an end on May 11th and Yellow Vests protesters called to a new protest for May 16th, some retailers gathered against Yellow Vests movement. The mayor of Toulouse, Jean-Luc Moudenc, came to show his support. Only a dozen of retailers gathered. The retailers' gathering as well the Yellow vests gathering were forbidden by the Prefet of Haute-Garonne.Some skirmishes happened between retailers and the few Yellow vest protesters who were here.
