Polish Government Introduces 'Railway Plus' Program

Andrzej Adamczyk, Minister of Infrastructure, seen during a press conference for the new program 'Railway Plus' in Myslenice near Krakow. As part of the Local and Regional Railway Infrastructure Supplement Program, the government allocated PLN 5.6 billion (1.25 billion Euro) and agreed to finance up to 85% of the program. Local governments will provide the remaining 15%. The program consist of the modernization of existing railways or construction of new lines, as well as point investments (construction of new stations, passing points or railway junctions).
