First Weekend Without COVID-19 Lockdown In Turkey
A man riding an electric scooter seen with his dog at the seaside in Istanbul, Turkey on June 6, 2020, during the first weekend without COVID-19 lockdown since April. Days after President Erdogan announced that the normalization process has started, Turkey canceled the first planned weekend curfew of June for 15 cities. Most cafes and restaurants reopened with specific restrictions to avoid contamination. Residents of Istanbul preferred outdoor public areas, but mostly without wearing protective face masks and without applying to the social distancing measures. (Photo by Erhan Demirtas/NurPhoto)
