Protest Against The Arrest Of MPs In Istanbul
Supporters of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) protested the recent arrest of two of the party members on June 7, 2020 in Istanbul, Turkey. Three opposition MPs in Turkey have been detained on espionage and terrorism charges after being expelled from office. Appeals courts upheld the convictions of Leyla Guven and Musa Farisogullar? from the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Enis Berberoglu of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) on Thursday. The main sign of the protesters reads 'To live is to resist' in Kurdish. (Photo by Erhan Demirtas/NurPhoto)
