Judge Igor Tuleya Keeps His Immunity

Members of the Committee for the Defence of Democracy (KOD) seen during the 'Wall of defence for Judge Igor Tuleya' protest organised in Krakow's Main Market Square, on Monday evening, June 8th. The Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court dismissed the request of the National Prosecutor's Office to waive Igor Tuleya's immunity. Investigators wanted to charge him with failing to fulfill his official duties and exceeding his powers, for what happened on December 18, 2017. On that day, in the District Court of Warsaw, Judge Tuleya allowed journalists to record a meeting during which he recognized complaints about the decision to discontinue an investigation into the turbulent deliberations in the Column Hall of the Polish Sejm.
