Old paper are seen in the home - museum of the Narrow-Gauge railway in the stop of Tsepina. The Rhodope narrow-gauge railway in Bulgaria is one of the few existing narrow-gauge railways with a regular schedule in the world. Not just used as an attraction. It is considered one of the best train journeys in Europe. The line acquires its finished look, as it is today from the town of Septemvri to the town of Dobrinishte in 1945. 76 cm track gauge, 3 mountains, many rivers, several gorges, rocky slopes sprinkled with powdered sugar peaks, vast green meadows, the smell of a cocktail of herbs, wildlife, 12 stations and 13 stops, 35 tunnels, 50 years old locomotives, the highest railway station in the Balkans, SPA and ski capitals of the Balkans, a line winding in sixes and eights, climbing 5 floors above it, a tourist attraction and the only transportation for many Bulgarians living in small remote villages on the route. This is the Rhodope Narrow Gauge Railway, which runs at no more than 50 km per hour, and your entire journey, although lasting 5 and a half hours, passes in an instant, and the world media describes it as one of the best train journeys in Europe, Rhodope, Bulgaria on June 13, 2020 (Photo by Hristo Rusev/NurPhoto)
