25th Anniversary Of The Srebrenica Genocide - Memorial Potocari
Thousands of family members and survivors attended the Potocari cemetery, Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 11, 2020, to bury and dismiss the nine victims identified in the last twelve months in an emotional and meaningful ceremony. The Srebrenica Genocide Memorial, officially known as the Srebrenica-Potocari Monument and Cemetery for Victims of Genocide was created to honor the victims of the 1995 massacre. This year the commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre has been marked by the coronavirus pandemic, with a ceremony at the Potocari memorial with more security and hygiene measures, with many masks and without the presence of foreign leaders.
