Fire In The Gran Sasso National Park
Firefighters are working on a fire in the Gran Sasso National Park, Italy, on July 31, 2020. A very large fire occurred yesterday in Arischia, Italy, on 30 July 2020. woodland fire.The fire created quite a few worries from the beginning, because from the very beginning the situation was quite worrying. Yesterday, five Canadair and a helicopter from the region were present on site. Extinguishing operations from above were completed due to the arrival of darkness around 8:30 pm.The front is quite extensive and during the night the flames lit up the mountains, even well visible from the city of L'Aquila.During the night the Volunteers of the Civil Protection together with the Fire Brigade have monitored and reclaimed some areas.
