Aircraft Landing At Thessaloniki Makedonia International Airport

Volotea Airlines Boeing 717-200 aircraft flying over the city of Thessaloniki. The airplane of the Spanish low-cost airline is a 17 years old Boeing 717 with the registration EI-FGI. V7 VOE has bases in the Mediterranean Countries in Spain, Italy, France and Greece. The budget carrier is the only European operator flying Boeing 717. The aircraft is flying on final approach for landing at Thessaloniki Makedonia International Airport SKG LGTS in Greece, over the city of Thessaloniki or Salonica with blue sky in the background. Thessaloniki is a popular tourist destination specially during summertime with the amazing sandy beaches and transparent crystal clear sea water of Halkdiki and Pieria Katerini nearby combined with nature and the mountains. The Greek authorities lifted the Covid-19 Coronavirus lockdown measures and allowed the first wave of tourists to mainland airport at 15 of June and then since July 1 with direct flights to the islands, but to specific countries with low pandemic cases. The tourism industry is one of the main income sources for the country so Greece started easing the measures trying to keep up the safety protocols in order to relaunch and boost the tourism season.
