Grounded Fleet Of Aegean Airlines At Athens International Airport

The grounded Airbus A320 family fleet of passenger aircraft of Aegean Airlines as seen over a wing of an airplane, parked at Athens International Airport ATH LGAV in the Greek capital. Aegean Airlines is the flag carrier of Greece based with a hub in Athens. The airplanes are not flying due to the Covid pandemic outbreak. Many of the planes have their jet engines covered with a red cover. Covid-19 cases skyrocket in Greece the past few days as tourists and locals are more relaxed without keeping the social distancing and mandatory safety measures such as protective mask during their summer holidays in tourist destinations so Greece records massive coronavirus spike. Every day the greek government implements new protective measures like reducing the number of people in events, changing the working hours for bars and restaurants or obligatory usage of facemask in specific places. in Athens, Greece, on August, 13, 2020.
