Garonne' river bed.The Garonne river is near its record low levels due to a lack of rain since the beginning of 2020 and a scorching heat during several periods of peak heat. As a result, the Garonne river is eutrophicated. Due to low water level, garbage appears on the river bed. The National weather service (Meteofrance) announced that July has been the driest month on record across France since 1959 and that the first semester of 2020 has been the hottest since records began.
