Shia Muslims Celebrate Ashura

The tenth day of Muharram is celebrated as Ashura, Shia muslims celebrate the day as mourning day for recalling the martyrdom of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad's grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain, his relatives and 72 supporters during the clash of Karbala on this day in the Hijri year of 61, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on August 29, 2020. To recognize the day, consistently, Shias bring out customary parade known as Tazia in various regions of Bangladesh, including capital Dhaka. The people group plans for the parade and starts their recognition customs a couple of days before the tenth Muharram. But this year law enforcement of Bangladesh restricted some of their activities to do in public due to coronavirus. To stop spreading corona, government take several step to celebrate the day of mourning. According to the Law enforcement, they take initial security check up at Hossani Dalan and they prohibit Shia followers to do Tazia Parade this year due to coronavirus.(Photo by Sony Ramany/NurPhoto)
