Aftermath Of Moria Refugee Camp Fire In Lesbos Island
The aftermath of the fire in Moria Refugee camp and the nearby olive groves. Migrants and refugees are looking for their belongings or searching for useful items for their new residence in Kara Tepe inside the burned area of the tents, the official facilities and the ashes, to move them there. Asylum Seekers have been transferred to the new refugee camp in Kara Tepe - Mavrovouni a former military area, shooting range of the Hellenic Army, near Mytilene city in Lesbos island Greece. The new temporary camp was created after the fire of September 9, 2020, when one of the largest in Europe refugee camps, Moria ( reception, identification and registration center ) was burned. All the residents inside the new camp have been tested for the COVID virus and those who are positive are living in two designated quarantine areas.
