Global Climate Action Day In Lisbon
Demonstrators display posters denouncing pollution and the danger of climate change, at a meeting in Lisbon, Portugal. September 25th, 2020. Young climate activists all over the world are preparing to return to the protests. In a new call for international mobilisation, the "Friday for the Future" (FFF) movement says it will continue to protest "as long as the exploitation of nature is allowed". The form of protest will be adjusted, "according to the local conditions of covid-19". In cases where there are face-to-face actions, "participants will have to take precautions to prevent the spread of the virus"; in other cases, the protest will be digital.
