Two Years After The Earthquake In Central Sulawes

Residents enjoy the view near the floating mosque which collapsed into the sea after being hit by the tsunami on the beach of Kampung Lere, Palu, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on September 27, 2020. After two years of earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction disasters in Palu, Sigi and Donggala on September 28 In 2018, which claimed more than 5,000 lives, the coastline at the mosque which has been used as a memorial park has now been fortified with embankments to withstand abrasion and tsunami waves.
