Pro-Democracy Protests Continue In Bangkok
Pro-democracy protesters attend to protest an anti-government at Wongwian Yai on October 17, 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand. For the fourth consecutive day prodemocracy protesters took to the streets of Bangkok to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan Ocha, the current parliament, the drafting of a new constitution ,and other reforms. Protesters gathered at three main locations throughout the city despite most public transport rail lines being shutdown by authorities. The largest group assembled in Bangkok's Lad Prao area, with thousands occupying the normally busy Ha Yek Lad Prao Intersection. Despite fears of a repeat of the previous day's confrontation with police water cannons no attempt was made by law enforcement to clear the area. (Photo Adryel Talamantes/NurPhoto)
