Poland Extends Red Zone To 152 Districts

Poland is the latest European country to tighten restrictions on its territory as it faces a second wave of COVID-19. On October 14, Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki announced new rules that will apply from today, October 17, throughout the country, with 152 districts (representing 70% of the population) that will move from the yellow to the red zone. For the past four days, the Ministry of Health reported the highest four daily totals of new coronavirus infections (6526 on Oct-14, 8099 on Oct-15, 7705 on Oct16 and 9622 on Oct-17).
