Thousands Join Poland Protests Against Strict Abortion Laws
Thousands of people marched tonight in Krakow and other Polish cities for the third day in a row of protests against the near-total ban on abortion. The protest is a direct reaction to Thursday’s ruling by Poland’s Supreme Court that existing law authorizing termination of pregnancy for fetal is against the constitution, effectively tightening one of the strictest abortion regimes in Europe.
