Durga Idols Festival In Kolkata

Melted structure of an idol along with other debris rests at a river bank in Kolkata after they are pulled out of the water post immersion . Plastics and other pollutants used in decoration of Durga idols for the festival season , reaches the river water of Ganges as the idols are immersed into it following ritual at the end of Durga puja festival in Kolkata.
