Doctors, Nurses Protest In France
A nurse holds a placard reading 'In three months, 30 beds of long illness, 12 beds of intensive care + 6 beds of intensive care closed: unacceptable'. Doctors, nurses, nursing auxiliaries and ordianry people protested against the lack of means for public hospitals as the number of Covid-19 infections is rising. They also protest as every part of public health services in France suffer from a lack of money and people. Since several months, personnel working in public hospitals demand more means and more people. The Covid-19 pandemic has put french public hospitals at saturation point as the 2nd wave of the pandemic is coming. They denounce a reduction of people in emergencies services in public hospitals and demand 10 000 nurses more. On November 7th, 2020 in Toulouse, France. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
