Bulgaria Communism Abandoned
A communism era Russian made farmer and construction machines are abandoned in a field near the village of Kaloyanovo at main road between Bulgarian capital Sofia and Black sea town of Burgas, Friday, June, 05,2015. As the Soviet Union began to collapse in 1989, Bulgaria entered a new, challenging phase of its development. While the Bulgarian state eventually abandoned communist ideologies for more market-oriented practices, their memory remains in the form of abandoned infrastructure. At past years many communism era simbols, buildings, machines and military gear abandoned in villages or near the country roads are poular as tourist attractons for the tourists crossing the Balkan country by cars.
