Mount Sinabung Volcano Erupts

Sinabung alert raised to the highest levels of government fears that the growing lava dome could collapse at any moment. Mount Sinabung has erupted intermittently since late 2013. Sixteen people were killed and tens of thousands of people displaced during the early period of intense eruptions last year.
