Parisian Demonstration Against The Global Security Law Turns Into A Riot

Anti-riot police officers accompanied by firefighters who came to put out the beginning of the fires are trying to disperse the numerous demonstrators who gathered in the early evening on the Place de la République on December 5, 2020, when the third day of mobilization against the so-called "Global Security" bill was taking place in France. In Paris several thousand demonstrators gathered at Porte de Lilas to protest against article 24 prohibiting the dissemination of police images on social networks and article 23 on the use of drones by the police and facial recognition. Quickly Black Bloc took the lead of the demonstration and confronted the police making the demonstration never arrived at Republic Square where clashes also took place in the early evening.
