Women Refugees Pray On The Roads Of Lesbos Island

Hundreds of women and girls are seen praying on the road after the sunset, at the makeshift tent site that was built roadside after the fire of Moria refugee camp and hotspot when some refugees were tested positive in Covid-19 Coronavirus and denied the quarantine as a safety measure against the spread of the pandemic. The Muslim pray of this large homeless group of asylum seekers took place on the street near a grocery store, outside of Mytilene town, near Kara Tepe new temporary camp location. They prayed with their hands risen, an Islamic hand gesture, so God would give them hope, strength and a better future hoping to be transferred in other European countries like Germany. Many women started crying. Few days after the pray all the refugees and migrants were hosted in the new camp built by UNHCR and EU.
