The Philippines has announced a travel ban from countries with a newer strain of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus disease, with the exception of returning overseas Filipino workers, who must undergo a 14-day quarantine regardless of RT-PCR result. The Philippines on 29 December 2020 has recorded a total of 471,526 cases of COVID-19 since community transmission was declared in March 2020, with 439,016 recoveries and 9,162 deaths.
