Refugees In Lesbos Island Cooking On The Road

An asylum seeker man from Afghanistan wearing a superman t-shirt is heating water for tea and cooking over the fire stove on the road. Refugee and migrants preparing food or tea in makeshift stoves or open air fires as they live on the streets and cook their on food. Asylum seeker families lived roadside in makeshift tents after the fire in Moria hotspot refugee camp that left them homeless which took place on September 9, 2020. They used to sleep on the road and live in the streets waiting for help. Afterwards everybody was moved in the new temporary camp of Kara Tepe that was built by the Greek government with EU funding and the support of UNHCR near the city of Mytilene.
