Miners protest in front of KWK Sosnica coal mine in Gliwice, Poland on January 17, 2015. After the government announced a restructuration plan for coal mines, Silesia region was rocked by a wave of protests. Miners working in mines belonging to the Kompania Weglowa coal consortium, and later those employed by Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa began protests and went on stike fearing the loss of their jobs and privileges.
