Bars And Restaurants Owners Protest In Turkey

Restaurant and cafe staff who have lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic organized a silent protest in Istanbul, Turkey on January 25, 2021. As part of the contamination measures, all the restaurants and cafes have switched to takeaway service, and many of the waitstaff have lost their jobs. The waitstaff demanded financial support from the government. They asked for the minimum wage to be paid to all workers and for the payment of their insurance premiums.
