Anti-lockdown Torchlit Protest In The Netherlands

A torchlit anti-lockdown and anti-curfew protest took place during the night in Tilburg town in the Netherlands. Protesters marched peacefully in the city. The demonstration was against the new measures after the Corona lockdown, the COVID curfew that was recently imposed by the Dutch government in order to fight the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. The public is no longer allowed outdoors between 21:00 and 04:30 local time with exemptions for work or have an emergency but should carry the necessary documentation when they are out. Violators risk a fine of 95euro. Violent protests and clashes were widespread across the country during the previous weekend and according to the police, more than 400 arrests were made across the country.
