Lion dancer returns the equipments used for lion dance performing training in Kuala Lumpur on February 6, 2021. Lion dance troupes in the country are bracing for tough times due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Malaysia’s senior minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that traditional performances and cultural activities for this year’s Chinese New Year celebration such as lion and dragon dances, the lantern parade, Chinese opera performances and stage performances will not be permitted.
