Snowstorm Darcy Halts Flights At Eindhoven Airport In Netherlands

Logo of Eindhoven Airport with European flag. Snowstorm shuts down the airport of Eindhoven EIN in the Netherlands. Heavy snow fall disrupts the air traffic that caused diversions to Germany on Sunday. Blizzard from storm Darcy hit the country since Sunday morning (07.02.2021) resulting problems in public transportation. In the snow-covered Eindhoven airport, Transavia airplanes are seen grounded while heavy machinery is cleaning the taxiway and runway. Dozens of flights that were due to depart were delayed or canceled at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam due to the arctic cold winter weather, the icy and freezing subzero temperature conditions in addition of the snow and wind. The country is on code red. Eindhoven, the Netherlands on February 8, 2021 (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
