The country since then has seen a steady decline , and now the drop is nearly to 90% according to current reports . The statistic has baffled many scientist . India , who stood the second worst affected country in the world , the numbers now have created a divide among the scientific community as many belief that these numbers are result of reduce number of testing . The other half believes that India has already attended herd immunity . Amidst this , the steady declining number has sparked a spree among citizen as they flocked towards markets for shopping , sometime even without any proper protection. Scientist are still baffled with the achievement of India and warns the citizens to not take lightly and devoid oneself of covid protocols seeing the numbers .
