Mount Sinabung volcano erupts

A picture shows the living room belonging to residents on fire destroyed by the eruption of Sinabung volcano, in the village of Guruh Kinayan, in Karo, Sumatra Island, Indonesia on June 22, 2015. More than 10,000 people have been evacuated from their homes living within a radius of 7 kilometers (4 miles) south and southeast of the crater of the volcano after Indonesia threatens to increase in Sumatra, Indonesia on June 4 following a sharp rise in volcanic activity, an official said. Sinabung alert raised to the highest levels of government fears that the growing lava dome could collapse at any moment. Mount Sinabung has erupted continuously with a roaring back to life since the end of 2013, sixteen people were killed and tens of thousands of people displaced during the early period of intense eruptions last year. Indonesia volcano sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire, a belt of seismic activity runs around the basin of the Pacific Ocean, and has about 130 active volcanoes. (Photo by Ivan Damanik/NurPhoto)
