Red Hearts Cover Newly-Unveiled National Covid Memorial Wall In London
A woman draws red hearts representing individual coronavirus deaths onto the newly-unveiled National Covid Memorial Wall opposite the Houses of Parliament in London, England, on March 30, 2021. Figures from the Office for National Statistics revealed today that more than 150,000 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the UK since the start of the pandemic. Lockdown restrictions were meanwhile eased across England yesterday with the 'stay home' rule ended, groups of six allowed to meet outside, outdoor sports restarted and weddings with up to six attending now permitted. Shops, hospitality and leisure businesses remain closed, however, with the next stage of lockdown easing not due until April 12 at the earliest. (Photo by David Cliff/NurPhoto)
