Culture workers (actors, live artists, dancers, musicians, technicians, etc.), unions (SUD, CGT, CNT), students and collectives (Aux Arts etc, Arts en greve...) organized a gathering behind the cityhall of Toulouse to inform people about and to protest against the new reform of unemployment benefits. Culture workers demand also the extension of the white year ('Annee blanche') which extended their unemployment bebefits due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Artists performed in their art: music, theater or dance during the gathering. Other demonstrators joined such activity leaders (in school) or aeronautics workers or students to denounce their precarity also due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The new reform of unemployment benefits will cost money to more han one million unemployed people. Toulouse. France. April 23th 2021. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
