Bunowen Traditional Fish Market
Freshly caught prawns seen at Saturday's Fish Market at Bunowen Harbor in Aillebrack. The traditional weekly fish market has now become almost a monthly event due to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as bad weather. The traditional familial fishing industry in the region has been in decline for many years. But Pat and his brother Kevin continue the family tradition from very young age, preserving this important way of life. On Saturday, 23 April 2021, in Bunowen Pier, Aillebrack, Ballyconneely, Co. Galway, Ireland. (Photo by Artur Widak/NurPhoto)
