Historic House Fire In Palmer Square, Chicago

Firefighter's discarded gear after returning from battling from the Historic House In Palmer Square, Chicago, USA, on April 27, 2021. A house fire broke out at 2228 N. Kedzie avenue in Palmer Square at approximately 3:45pm CST. The fire was presumably caused by construction in the attic and rooftop. A lone worker battled the fire until Chicago Fire Department arrived on scene. An adjacent elderly home was evacuated for safety. The woman living in the residence escaped unharmed, and one fire fighter was taken away by EMS with non life threatening injuries. (Photo by Jim Vondruska/NurPhoto)
