Daily Life In Bangkok

A boat taxi passes on the Khlong Saen Saeb. Boat taxis are often used for commuting in the gridlocked Thai capital. This Khlong was built by Cham Muslims from Cambodia and Vietnam, after their loyalty to the Thai kings in the XVIIIth century was rewarded with a plot of land in Bangkok. They built the Khlong Saen Saeb (this canal) to better connec tto the Chao Phraya river. Bangkok, Thailand, 6 Feb 2016. (Photo by Marc Fernandes/NurPhoto)
