Seasonal Traders Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr In Central Sulawesi

A seasonal trader waits for "Ketupat" buyers ahead of Eid al-Fitr in the overhang of the Manonda Induk Market area, Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia on May 11, 2021. Ketupat is a typical food served during Eid made of rice which is put in a container made of steamed pandan leaves or coconut leaves. Hundreds of seasonal traders come from the foot of Mount Gawalise, about 5 kilometers from the market location and trading various food needs before Eid al-Fitr such as ketupat and spices or ingredients for cooking spices. The merchandise is their agricultural produce at the foot of the mountain and only goes to the market every time an Eid al-Fitr celebration will be held. (Photo by Basri Marzuki/NurPhoto)
