MANILA, Philippines - Performers in colorful lighted costumes are illuminated in the dark as they prepare to perform in a mall in Pasay city, south of Manila to celebrate Earth Hour on 29 March 2014. Now on its eighth year, the Earth Hour movement encourages everyone to switch off their lights for one hour to conserve energy, at the same time to symbolize their commitment to protect the planet.
