Parallel Peace Project Launched In Dublin And Belfast
The Famine Memorial in Dublin, in remembrance of the Great Famine, which saw the population of the country halved through death and emigration. The memorial seen on Wednesday 19 May, as part of the Herstory's new Parallel Peace Project in Dublin launched on World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. Syrian, Somali, Kenyan, Libyan activists took part in a project in Dublin that tells the story of women and girls on the island of Ireland whose lives have been hit by wars and social conflicts.
