An indian mann crosses a bridge over sewage water which directly joins to River Ganges,in Allahabad on July 6,2015.A reports says that More than two-third of the sewage generated in 118 towns,located along the Ganga river basin is discharged in to the river untreated.The towns collectively generates over 3,636 millions litre per day (MLD) of sewage while the treatment capacityof the existing 55 sewage treatment plants is hardly 1,027 MLD.
