Protests Against Femicides In Athens

An African women joined the protest against gender based violence and femicideson June 19, 2021 in Athens, Greece. Hundreds of Athenians, mostly from feminist organizations, gathered outside the Greek parliament after the killing of a 20 year old woman by her 32 year old husband. The demonstrators demanded from the Greek goverment to acknowledge the term ''femicide'' and to introduce harsher punishments for the offenders.(Photo by Maria Chourdari/NurPhoto)
