Religions In Ancient Egypt
The complex of religions in Old Cairo brings together in one area the houses of worship of the three religions, Islamic, Coptic and Judaic. The history of the area dates back to the ancient Pharaonic era, then the Roman fortress known as "Babylon Castle" It was built because of the strategic importance of the site, until the entry of the leader Amr ibn al-Aas to Egypt, who established the city of Fustat and its mosque known as the Old Mosque. There are several churches, the Church of St. Abi Serga, the Church of St. George, the Church of St. Barbara, the Church of St. Abi Sefein, the Church of St. Tadrash El Shatby, and the Church of Archangel Michael.On June 24, 2021 in Cairo, Egypt.
